I have nothing against Glen Campbell.. He will always be like a rindstone cowboy but give me Isaac Hayes version any day.

I understand too, only I didn’t even get a note or a phone call, he just left and married someone else in another state! It destroyed my soul and ruined my life. I have loved this song since I was a child. I had a Dad that reminded me so much of him. I am sorry for your 20 years of heartache and certainly hope I don’t end up enduring it for that long. Love Glen Campbell, I used to suffer from deep depression & would play his songs over and over, I lost the depression three years ago totally but guess what I still love listening to glens songs.

At work theres a guy in his 50s that always plays solid gold fm, I was walking past one day and heard this song playing on his radio. It was echoeing across the factory and every1 had left for lunch. His words caught me so I sat there to listen and have loved this song ever since. Just wierd, lovely melody and sad story.

Love Glen Campbell. I was in Arizona some years back. I love that red countryside and great memories of Bryce and Grand canyon. These pics remind me of the colour and that sunlight esp. in the evenings..man I gotta go back there…….
