Threatening text message from a 5 digit number?
I received a couple of threatening text messages from a 5 digit number. before the message it had a user name and I discovered it was a yahoo account so maybe it was an sms text…Is there a way I could find out the phone number or who is behind it? Its obvious its somebody that knows me.

If it was a yahoo acount, tell them and they can make the person stop.
take the number to the police with the fact that it’s a yahoo account and they may ask yahoo which account it was sent from, or may be able to find out themselves.
The police take these sorts of things very seriously. Often no actual action is taken from the one making the threats- but you never know what will happen. so If you go to the cops and the cop you get dosn’t take you seriously- make an official complaint about it and request someone else to help you.
(I’ve had to deal with a few cops who can’t do their jobs properly. their co-workers take it very seriously ‘specially if you mention that your safety is at risk and that they have a duty to protect the people, and you are a person.)
if its a yahoo account just put in the account on google and u should be able to click on the persons profile from there
EDIT: im aware you want to find out who it is, when u put in the sender info it should come up with that from google
one thing u can do is log into your service provider acct and change your sms- email preferences…had to do that before and that is wat my service provider ask me to do and walk me thru it as well
maybe cancle ur yahoo answers account and get a new one?
